Live sound performance: Hunni'd Jaws, HKCR DJ
Live VJ performance: Shelf Index, Video Cypher

Hunni’d Jaws’ [US/DE] sound embodies an enthralling, no-boundaries approach to club music in which the ugly is embraced alongside the sublime. The DJ and producer is half of Berlin Community Radio’s Call Dibs and a founding member of collective and tutorship programme No Shade. Hunni'd Jaws is best known for an approach to mixing that shatters the club mold, perhaps due to an upbringing that exposed her to jazz, merengue, reggae, pop, and even new wave and punk. Her ever-transforming, eclectic style storms through ballroom, classic rave, techno-grime hybrids, latinx, and beyond, delivering a welcome dose of fun to a city whose dominant aesthetic lies in dead-serious, dark techno. No Shade, which she runs alongside Linnéa, Carmel Koster, and Polymaze, promotes access and empowerment in electronic music through organising a programme that offers training and resource access to new female and non-binary DJs.

Video Cypher [HK] was initiated by Anna Chim in 2017, and inspired by LA beat cypher crew Team Supreme. The intention of Video Cypher is about gathering friends to encourage and inspire each other in playing with videos and making progress together. The participating artists are required to interpret certain materials or themes with a goal to learn and explore video editing or animation techniques, hopefully produce some fun results. Participating artists include Anna Chim, Awe IW, Suze陳, Chiu Yan Wah, Alex Yiu, Crystal Bug, Dom Paul Chung, Heidi Huang, Joseph Chen 2015, Kelvin T, Mia Chu, Qqbbg, Wong Kei Ying, Ziki Cheung.

Shelf-Index [HK] won the bronze (open category, 2001) and distinguished award (Youth Category, 1997) of the Hong Kong Independent Film and Video Awards. Since then he’s been working in different positions within the media industry eg film promotion, radio station, and TVC/making-of featurette production. Ever since  the launch of Hobbyhub Entertainment in 2013, he mainly focuses on a handful of categories  including online promotional videos, music videos, and concert visual design.

HKCR DJ [HK] is the co-founder of HKCR,  founder of Absurd TRAX and co-founder of Absurd Creation.
