Created by the UIA in 1985, World Architecture Day is celebrated annually on the first Monday of October in parallel with the United Nations’ (UN) World Habitat Day.  The theme of World Architecture Day (WAD) 2023 is “Architecture for Resilient Communities”.  With this theme, HKIA is co-organising with Hong Kong Architecture Centre (HKAC) for a series of events celebrating the upcoming World Architecture Day on 2 October 2023.

The first event of Opening and Public Sharing will be held on the 2 October 2023 at Laundry Steps, Central Police Station (Tai Kwun).

You are cordially invited to continue the discussion on this topic and encourage territorial and urban planning concepts and policies that enable architects to develop innovative solutions and design viable buildings and public spaces for resilient communities, aiming to “humanize” all types of urbanization, respect cultural heritage and restore the relation to nature and biodiversity.
